Intelligent design of chemical separation tower equipment Wen Xiaoming, Liu Lirui, Fei Weiyang The main features of separation tower equipment design are the hierarchical structure of design problem decomposition and the application of different types of knowledge. For this type of hierarchical design problem, an object-oriented design problem decomposition mechanism was established. Its basic structural unit is the designer class, which is used to represent the design problems of each layer. The hierarchical structure of problem decomposition is constructed by taking the child designer as the data member of its parent designer. This mechanism is both a knowledge storage structure and a problem-solving strategy. It can represent and use different types of knowledge and is more suitable for solving such design problems than traditional rule-based methods. Classification of separation equipment by design and technical features Vitaly Oleksandrovich Ivanov, Ivan Vladimirovich Pavlenko The expansion of the production scope poses many challenges to the normal operation of the chemical industry. Production must react quickly to even the slightest changes and must be customer-oriented. Therefore, there has been a general trend to increase production flexibility by introducing modular systems. Therefore, it is necessary to classify existing solutions and develop flexible systems on this basis. This paper analyzes the development trends of the chemical industry, proposes a research method for modular separation units, and classifies them according to their design and technical characteristics. The research results propose a design and technical classification and provide a code for optimizing various separation units. Through experimental research and preliminary trials and acceptance tests on experimental samples, the main fluid dynamics and separation characteristics of modular separation units and combined multifunctional separators were determined: the fluid resistance of the unit is 0.15–2.00 kPa, and the device is 15–30 kPa; effective capture of particles of 5 μm size; the efficiency of each stage of the modular separation unit is about 70–90%; the efficiency of the combined multifunctional separator is about 99.5–99.9%. The provided multipurpose separator with dynamically adjusted modular separation unit is comparable to similar products in the world in terms of main technical characteristics.
